Sheila Jacobs

Sheila Jacobs is a well-known writer-lecturer. She has developed programs to train CEO's and physicians in customer service during her 30-year career in advertising and marketing. She has won numerous awards for her work in marketing to seniors in the community.

Sheila Jacobs offers half-day and full day programs in lifewriting and in scrapbook Photo Scribing® at community centers and senior centers around the country. She also offers theme workshops for recording Sweetheart Stories and Beloved Pet Stories, and to work with writers of Survivor Lifestories.

Sheila Jacobs works with individuals and families to plan, co-author, ghostwrite, or prepare for publication family histories and memoirs. In addition, she offers full interview and oral history services and photography for lifestory projects of all kinds.

Dana conducts small group workshops and does personal coaching to help people create written memoirs of their own lives as well as those of their family. She has a passion for helping people tell their stories and has seen first hand in her classes how the writing process helps to unlock more memories. She has experienced in her own writing some clarification of the meaning of events and experiences in her past. Dana enjoys photojournaling and writing stories about her grandchildren.

Dana lives in Mesa, Arizona and is a Registered Nurse with a BS degree in Business Management and Ethics.

Jim O'Leary has taught lifestory writing workshops in his community since 1995, including many programs especially for organ recipients, donors, and their families. As an organ recipient himself, he has experienced writing as a healing art first hand and finds great meaning in introducing others to its potential as a restorative and growthful undertaking.

A former secondary and college level English and writing teacher with degrees from the University of Notre Dame, Jim's professional background also includes business and health care. Most recently, he served as Hospital and Community Services Manager for New Mexico Donor Services, a nonprofit corporation.

He is an active member of both the SouthWest Writers and the Association of Personal Historians.
