The Curriculum Methods Tele-Class is the third component for Soleil Lifestory Network Lifewriting Teacher Certification. In this five-week tele-class, you will learn to implement the teaching plans of the Turning Memories Into Memoirs® Curriculum Manual.
Participants assess their teaching experience and skills and review fundamental approaches specifically appropriate for the target market of memoir workshops. The inherent flow of the curriculum is explored so that teachers will be comfortable making adaptations to fit individual teaching styles without affecting the success of the program.
The class gives attention to dealing effectively with the thorny issues that regularly come up in workshops, such as coping with painful memories and telling (how much of) the truth. Ample time is devoted to questions about teaching. The experience and issues of your tele-classmates will prove very helpful in your own development.
Because the Curriculum Methods Tele-class is based on the Curriculum Manual it is limited to individuals who have joined the Soleil Lifestory Network at either the Associate or the Affiliate level. This tele-class is necessary for Certification.
This seminar has five hour-long sessions held on alternating weeks from 8-9 PM/ET. The tuition is $125, early registration, $150 late registration. A deposit holds your place.
