Martha Blowen Martha is a graduate of Bates College where she studied literature. After graduation she taught high school English and raised two home-schooled children both of whom are now college graduates. Martha pursued an interest in the arts when her children were young. As a hand papermaker and book artist, she conducted residencies and workshops as a juried member of the Maine Arts Commission's Touring Arts Roster. As a working artist for ten-plus years, Martha exhibited her work in galleries and museums, traveled widely in New England as a visiting artist, and served on the boards of arts associations and agencies. Martha brings to book design a longstanding addiction to the printed word and her artist's eye for detail and design. She is proficient at the new computer technology that makes "magic happen," and is dedicated to using her skills to enable self-publishing clients to see their book ideas and dreams become reality. Sally Lunt Sally is a Maine native and alumna of University of Maine. She is a leader in her local community library, serving variously as board chairman, grantwriter, and fundraising chair. Her eagle eye for detail is put to good use at Soleil, where her job description includes, among other self-publishing support tasks, proofreader, copy editor and QuarkXpress queen. Sally has studied both Quark (layout) and PhotoShop (art and photo prep) in the Graphic Arts Department of the Central Maine Technical College, where she has received professional training at these essential book design and pre-press layout computer skills.
